This week’s Spin Cycle is all about Pet Peeve’s. I have a few. Not as many as some people I know (wink, wink) but just enough to maybe be considered wierd. Here are a few:
- Cabinet doors in the kitchen that are left open.
- People who go to Costco and eat all the snacks then throw their trash into the cart and leave it there. So then when I get there and want a cart I have to search all over for the one without all the shit in it.
- People who don’t walk their shopping cart to the designated cart area of the parking lot but rather leave it wherever. Come on people!
- People who drive too fast in residential neighborhoods. Damn it – there are kids playing!
- People who say “uge” instead of “h-uge.”
- Drivers who forget to use their turn signals. (Btw…I am hardly ever guilty)
- People who pull items out of the microwave before the time is finished and don’t clear out the time.
- Dog owners who don’t pick up after them. I’m so tired of running through landminds. Plus, it stinks. (BTW….I’ll call you out if I’m running by and your dog shits and you leave it there….)
- Noisy chewers (yuck)
- People who pee on the seat and don’t wipe it off. Women, even if you “hover” and accidentally dribble, turn around and wipe up your mess.
- Oatmeal in my chocolate chip cookies. (just kidding)
For more pet peeve’s – head on over to Sprite’s Keeper. But make sure to use your turn signal along the way.

Oatmeal in your chocolate chip cookies? I’ll be making those this weekend!
I completely agree with them all and the Costco one had me laughing because I gripe about it every time we go!
You’re linked!
I love chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. Makes them healthy, right?
I have to agree with all of these, too. PB always says, “Oh, he must be out of directional fluid…”
Oh, I didn’t even know that Women too can pee on the seat (I thought that was only reserved for Male bashing) way to show you exercise equal rights.
I admit, I’m guilty as charged with the cabinets. I tend to leave them open whenever I do dishes so that I can quickly put them away, but always forget to close them (oops).
Thanks for sharing,
Good heavens – leaving the cabinet doors in the kitchen open was far more universal than I thought. It’s one of the few things that the men I live with do that really drives me batty.
Oh the trash in a cart thing drives me crazy!! And in addition to “uge”, “uman” instead of human is right up there. And by the by, I am a hoverer and I always clean up the seat. I don’t know how to even work the seat gards. I mean, do you flush them? Throw them into the sanitary bin in the stall? Wear them as a disposable necklace?
Oh man, I totally agree with you on a lot of those. I did a whole post about the shopping cart thing. It is probably my BIGGEST peeve of all. (And like you, I have a laundry list.) The Costco garbage is a good one, too. I especially hate it when people hover at a sample station and block traffic.
People letting their dogs crap without picking up after them is one of my Top Ten Peeves of All Time…especially the neighbors that allow their black lab to use my backyard as his own personal potty land! Don’t EVEN get me started on this one again!!
I feel like I wrote this! Food wrappers in the shopping cart drives me nuts, and I ahte it when people don’t return the carts!
So glad your back. I SO agree with all your pet peeves, wish I could have thought of them by myself!
I’m sitting in Panera and I can hear someone chewing over the music. I’m with you, sistah.
The shopping carts not making it to the bins is one of my biggest pet peeves. I didn’t do that one cause I had already done it before on Myspace.
How about drivers who leave their blinker on for miles and miles! Drives me crazy!
Guilty of the microwave..mine currently says 13 seconds left! LOL!
